Science Games

By this, I do not mean it in a way like, ‘a game about science’ or such.

I mean, how is science incorporated in the making and programming of video games? This is for a project where I have to write scientific facts about things I like.

My mom’s friend emailed me this (because I do know a lot about games):

I am looking for something that I can use to teach secondary post secondary students through virtual world scenarios. I would like to have them complete tasks that require solving problems in science engineering, using group interaction with some specific goal or outcome.

Do you have any experience with this type of thing or ideas as to where to look?

^^ That I’m not so sure about– an interactive science and engineering game. Anything you know of? Suggestions? Thanks!
