I need questions for kids 8-10 years?

i’m making a game and it has cards that involve questions about math, science, history, and artsy stuff (like sing i’m a little teapot and such)
any ideas?
Have you gotten your money’s worth out of your kids educational toys/workbooks/software etc. or not?

Do you find educational toys, games, software, workbooks, etc. to be of help or a waste of money? Which were used and helpful? Which were set aside or hardly used? Were there any that were so fun the kids didn’t have to be prodded to use them? Thanks in advance for your comments.
Has anyone ever tried Project of the Month?

Kids birthday ideas?

My brother is turning eight next week (he’s in second grade), and I need to arrange a party for him. He’s inviting eleven kids so far, but more may be added on (Fifteen at most, but we probably won’t get up to that many). I can’t have the party at home, or at a park. Some places we’ve considered are bowling, McDonalds, movies, a science museum, a video game place, and a place we have here called Caesarland (we live in metro-Detroit btw). So far we’ve ruled out all but the last one.
Does anybody have any other ideas? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. =]

Babysitting 10 year old, fun crafts, science experiments, games, etc?

I am 15 and have a 10 year old niece and 21 month old nephew. I babysit them every weekend, from 4 til late on Friday and 9am-9pm on Saturday. Obviously my nephew needs more attention because he is so young. I take him for walks, read books, play with his toys, play in the backyard, etc, etc. My niece often goes to friends houses while I am there. She is allowed about an hour of TV a day. Sometime, when none of her friends are around, she stays home, but never wants to do anything with her brother and me. She has been kind of moody lately and complains that I never let her do anything fun if I tell her no to something that she is never allowed to do. She is basically a good kid and is smart and very creative.
I need some good activities, experiments, games, crafts Anything that is safe for her and her little brother. I need as many suggestions as possible. Anyone know how to make a paper mache volcano or anything like that? Thanks!! I know this is a long question! Thank you!
If I made a kid kit or fun box, a box of fun things to have with me for the kids, what should be in it?
