What educational board games would you recommend for a kids in Jr. High? Please advise a short synopsis?

(in other words, a brief description of the game and what it teaches). Thanks!
What are some educational (and fun) games, DVDs, etc. for 5th grade science, social studies, and math?

I’ve looked at Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, Jumpstart, and a few others.
Any more suggestions?
What are the best websites for free educational online games for elementary school age kids?

Ones that help teach math concepts would be particularly helpful. Some online math games just have kids add increasingly greater numbers, but at some point you need paper and pencil and there isn’t much in terms of visual interest. Also some will ask about exponent questions but not really teach a child how to do the problem.
Ones that involve brain teasers or deep thinking would be great…also verbal skills would be helpful.. vocabulary building, analogies, spelling. I’d love to know what your favorites are.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Do you think school is rough on kids and teenagers?

Do you think school is rough on kids and teenagers?
Seriously, some have after school sports that they are required to go to practice every day for 2 hours. And if it is a game 3 hours. People have AP classes that gives lots of hwk over break. Barely any sleep)school starts at 7:30 am over here). Some kids have 0 period which starts at 6:32. And lets not forget the dreaded English books. They make teenagers read thick books(Grapes of Wrath 500 pages) over a short period of time. And they have to read another book for their book report(one every quarter has to be appropriate level) Lets not forget reading science chapters, history sections, etc. Science is hard to like Chemistry. Teenagers also have a hard time with math because math in high school is hard. Proofs, algebra, calculus, stats…etc. Some kids have a hard time with a subject. For me it is math and science. Lets not forget extra classes such as SAT’s, language school on Saturday’s(with homework and starts in the morning). In 11th grade people have to take SAT’s for college and etc.
What do you guys think?
Straight A’s= Good Reward?! Help?

Now, before any mean or berating posts or suggestions get on here, I’d like to say them myself:
. SUX2BU LLOLOLLOL
. It’s a game. Get a life, kid. I use good grammar to sound convincing.
. Seriously Why Didnt Your Parents Just Give It To You Its Just A Game And The Worst Part Is Just The Bad Language Typing Capital Letters For The First Letter Is Awesome As If It’s A Long Movie Title
. call a WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHMBULANCE
. How old are you? 12? Your parents shouldn’t have even let you on the internet. Kids these days whine about so much minor shit these days, spoiled brat….
alright, now on to the question details.
Since my mom or dad didn’t allow me to purchase Grand Theft Auto IV without good motivation (I got stuck with SoulCalibur IV, damnit), I proposed something else for them.
Straight A’s. In a 9th grade level class. Where I’m already starting Algebra I, major-ass projects, and tons of Classwork/Homework.
And I’m only 12 going on 13.
I promised my parents that I would get straight A’s for a whole quarter, from August 18th to November 13th, in order for me to earn GTA IV. Way, way harder than it sounds.
I have Algebra I this year, so that might sink my grades; also, World Geography and Science look to be hard. And those are half of my classes.
I’m really scared. What can I do to stay in focus for the upcoming quarter and earn the game?

Educational Games illustrating Culture Clash or cultural miscommunication?

I have a group of immigrant high school kids who we are teaching English as a second language as well as incorporation into North American culture.
One theme is cultrure clash, I was wondering if anyone knew any fun games to play that exemplify this.
Also, any movie or show that exemplifies this in a poignant way?
Thanks for the help!!
Senses-related games and experiments for Primary school kids?

In a couple of weeks I have to do some Science stuff at a local Primary school, involving the 5 senses. I need some fun, easy and, most importantly, educational games / experiments to try. These should last no longer than 10 mins each, but can be short and simple too! Thanks!! xx
